Join the Resistance – Volunteer
With your presence, we will have a mutual learning experience that will allow you to get to know Haiti while growing personally and professionally.
We are located in Port-au-Prince, but we also carry out activities in the northern and northeastern regions of Haiti.
We are a traveling university that believes in collective work, offering Spanish courses through Popular Education, strengthening Haitian organizations in defense of the territory, and empowering women leaders.
What do we need?
- UNIR offers Spanish courses for activists from organizations. To achieve more comprehensive learning, practice is necessary; therefore, your collaboration can involve providing a space for conversing in Spanish to improve/enhance this skill (remotely).
- Photography. Taking, editing, and delivering amazing photos (in person).
- Video Production. Creating, editing, and publishing digital videos (in person).
- Social Media. Maintaining/updating and producing content for social media (remotely).

Requirements
Remotely
- Fluent Spanish level or C1
- Device with internet connection
- Ten hours per week
- Social media skills
- Canva proficiency
In person:
- Fluent Spanish level or C1, Fluent Haitian Creole, or Fluent French (one language applies)
- Minimum stay of three months, maximum of six months
- Camera and video production skills
